Fly away! You're free! | |  |  | STORY TIME!
So, this comic actually worked out to coincide with real life a little -- because I did *finally* get my Switch... 2 days late.
Amazon apparently screwed up on their inventory, and, even though the website said "Arriving March 3 by 8PM" I didn't get that updated until the 4th -- and didn't recieve my Switch until the 5th.
I spent nearly the entirety of Friday on the phone with CS reps for Amazon -- none of which could give me a straight story. I heard as many different excuses as I did people I talked to. -.-;
I ended up gettin a $65 refund, as well as an extra month of Prime and an additional $10 credit.
Honestly, I wouldn't have been actually as upset as I was if they would have just outright told me there was a stock issue -- which was later confirmed when I spoke to another rep on Saturday.
I recorded a video of me setting up the Switch, and starting Wednesday I'll be streaming Breath of the Wild on my Twitch channel, if anyone's interested in hanging out.
As always, my Twitch channel can be found at http://twitch.tv/ddayasu
Hope to see you there!

 | Yes, the JoyCons seem to slide off with not much pressure. But it brings the question?
But why?
There was a similar story with the $2 coins in Canada. It's basically a coin insert, there's a round piece inside of a hollowed coin. What did people do when it came out? Slammed it against walls and brought the hammer to it, and then happy took pictures of it saying "the middle came out". OF COURSE IT DID. It won't happen in most cases, you need to apply great pressure or impact, it won't happen just by accident.
After that craze though, I never heard of it happening. So it's a phase. I see this as similar. Of course you can force it out of it's slot. Maybe it doesn't need much pressure, but you have a $300 piece of hardware in your hands, are you going to wring it like a wet towel on purpose? It should hold out for most normal usages.
Just don't kick it like Pi does.
