Title: Downplaying Hype
Post by: Celedh on November 28, 2016, 12:31:12 AM
(http://theunoriginalcomic.overminddl1.com/images/Celedhbutton.png)This is pretty much the truth, although the wording might be a little off here. I don't hype. I look forward to games, of course, because I paid for them. But I avoid spoilers and such until I'm ready to sit down and play it.

That way I can fully appreciate it for what it offers. FFXIII comes to mind, lots of people didn't like it. I appreciated it. I'm not blind to it's faults though, but they didn't distract me from the overall package. Could it have been done better? Assuredly. Was it perfect? Not in a hundred years. Was it worth playing? Entirely.

I know at least 2 or 3 friends and coworkers playing FFXV tonight.

It's not on PC so 1) I don't have a system to play it on and 2) the all male playable cast, in this day and age, is rather a turn off. Very low interest without any glowing gameplay reviews.

All male cast or no, this is hilarious:
