HIDE was probably the best action you could take in FFVI when you had Edward in your party.  Had he tried to fight he would do minimal damage to the enemy and he would wind up losing HP and dying.  Then you would have to exaust your Phenoix Down to revive him. 

Stupid Bard couldn't do anything to save his woman.

See, even I still can't help of having the 'other' meaning of "cyber" spring to mind, dude.

And you have to admit, the name that you choose to go by IRL doesn't do much to help the matter.   ;D
