Title: Megaman Unoriginal: A “Bad Things Happen” Situation

If there's one thing I can't tolerate it's plagiarism. Art theft isn't limited to stealing pictures, it's extended to dialogue/text as well. It came to my attention over the weekend that someone on DeviantART (http://www.deviantart.com/) actually *ripped off* two jokes and a sight-gag from TUC, as well as a handful from Ctrl+Alt+Del (http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/). Why am I making a big deal outta this? 'Cause DeviantArt is rampant enough with art theft(I actually saw a case of identity theft by someone over on SheezyArt posing as a popular DeviantArt artist) and I'm steadfastly against it.

Besides, this guy was so unoriginal as to rip off The Unoriginal Comic. That loses points big time. Reader or not, it gives him *no* right to take our jokes without the proper credit. After catching him in the act, he responds with:

"I was unaware that I was ripping another comic, sorry about that."

Honestly?  How could you *not* be aware? He went as far as adding me to his watch list on DA, and has even signed up for the forums(unless you're a close friend of mine, you don't know who this is) here.

Moving on to other news...

The Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival (http://www.ffxifanfestival.com) in March is a go. If anyone is going to that, lemme know and I'll hook you up with some info on how to contact me(but my "party" will be busy with the "Live Quest" they have set up.)

Project A-Kon 17 (http://www.a-kon.com) is also a go. If you're planning on going to that, and don't already have my contact info, you'll get more info on how to meet myself and (possibly) Tunod there.

Plagiarism? That's no good.

Well, anyways, I'm still undecided if I'm going to A-kon, but I hope to make a decision soon, hopefully before March comes around.

Hmm, Dallas, TX...  10 hour drive for me (I am directly west of it, 9.5/10 hours), and it will probobly be during the school semester...  Not sure I could...
