(http://theunoriginalcomic.overminddl1.com/images/Celedhbutton.png)I'm more or less who introduced Ayasu to Dragon Quest Builders. I've always been a fan of the series, and Builders looked like lots of fun, and it was.

It's not entirely wrong to call it Minecraft-clone at a glance, but it's more than that. Sure, it uses voxels and similar ideas, but it's also much more story driven, which was something I appreciated. I don't dislike Minecraft, but I like the modpacks and maps where you have some sort of guidance as well, rather than just blindly trying to make a house, a workshop or something shaped like a penis.

If you want that kind of creativity though, this game has a Free Mode, so there's that. There's still some kind of 'progression' to follow, as in get wood to get copper to get iron sort of deal, but the main story pretty much prepared you for that, you just have to figure out where to find them in Free Mode.
