Title: The Author's New Groove - Sanity Protection Fault
Post by: Celedh on February 26, 2016, 12:52:24 AM
(http://theunoriginalcomic.overminddl1.com/images/censoredcel.png)I had been toying with the idea of having things happen in the background at the same time as the foreground before. But it doesn't always end up being necessary or even good.

The challenge here was mostly to fit all of this in the smaller panel size without looking odd.

If you wonder, the thing in the sky is the Giant Floating Lemon Wedge of Doom, something that Ramnesis' Jailhouse Blues fancomic used. I was hanging on IRC with them, and Ramnesis said, in his words, that he had the goal for that thing to appear in every other comic at one point or another. He almost got it.

The red bird is Rick O'Shay's work. He put Protoman shades on Beat, more or less. I'm still amused by it.

Growing up on Hot Shots and Airplane!, background humor is some of my favorite. :D
