Megaman Unoriginal: Unwanted Answers

If anyone has ever played the game "Wild ARMs" then they have played one of the best RPGs ever released, on storyline alone. The battle system was decent, and the graphics were sub-par at best, using sprited maps and characters, and polygonal battle scenes. This game was released only months before FF7, and was competely drowned in it's hype, killing whatever it had. Well, recently this game was re-created using the game engine from Wild ARMs 3...

Wild ARMs Alter Code: F is an AWESOME re-make of Wild ARMs. I've only played through the intros of each character and I think I can safely say that I'm in love with this game. Great character visuals, and the story is intact. The music has been re-arranged for the newer systems. After you complete all three main character's intro stories, it plays a re-created animated intro for the game -- using the original intro music. This brought a tear to my eye. In the remake, they tweaked the script, added new playable characters and re-arranged the dungeons. Though, they seem to have kept some of the elements that made the original great, they've added more on top of that. Unfortunately, as this was created with the same engine as the first, it kept the "scan the map for towns, dungeons, etc" feature, which is the one thing I disliked about Wild ARMs 2 and Wild ARMs 3.

Now, I don't often "review" games, but I feel strongly that Wild ARMs Alter Code: F is good enough to get praise. It's a very well made remake of a game I loved throughout my high school years, and a series I dare say can rival some Final Fantasy games in epic stories and memorable characters.

It's Flail Man!
Now for more cookie goodness!

<EDIT>
Oh, and also, I have Nintendo WFC at home now. After formatting my PC my USB connector finally works.
